Data Protection - Shop

It is usually possible to use our website without providing any personal details. If personal details (such as name, address or e-mail addresses) are collected on our pages, this is done at all times, where possible, on a voluntary basis. These data will not be forwarded to third parties without your explicit consent. By entering your personal details, you consent to us using these data for the purpose of communicating product information; this consent may be revoked at any time. We point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. during communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. A seamless protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible. The usage by third parties of contact details published as part of the company notice obligation to send advertising and information materials not explicitly requested is hereby explicitly prohibited. The operators of the sites hereby explicitly reserve the right to take legal steps in the event of unsolicited sending of promotional information, e.g. through spam mails.

We collect personal details if you notify us of them on a voluntary basis during your order, when you contact us (e.g. by contact form or e-mail) or when you open a customer account. The data that are collected can be found in the respective input forms. We use the data notified by you to handle the contract and to process your requests. After full handling of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after the expiry of the retention periods stipulated under fiscal and commercial law if you have not explicitly consented to further usage of your data or we reserve the right to use the data beyond this if this is permitted by law; we will inform you about this below. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can either be done by a message to the contact option described below or via a function envisaged for this purpose in the customer account.

For the fulfilment of the contract, we will forward your data to the shipping company and drop shipper commissioned with the delivery if this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, for the handling of payments, we will forward the payment data collected for this purpose to the bank commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, payment service providers commissioned by us, or to the selected payment service. Some of the selected payment service providers also collect these data themselves if you create an account there. In this case, you must register with your access data with the payment service provider during the order process. The data protection declaration of the respective payment service provider applies in this regard.

For technical reasons, data such as date and time when one of our pages was called up, your browser type, the browser settings and the operating system, the page last visited by you, the data volume transmitted and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.) will be communicated by your computer to us every time an Internet page is called up. These data are regularly not personal data. In addition, however, your computer also usually transmits your IP address to us and this can be personal in individual cases.

Your IP address which in many cases is communicated to us is a globally valid identification of your computer that is unique when it is assigned by your Internet provider. An IP address consists of four blocks of numbers separated by dots. In most cases, as a private user you will not use any constant IP address as this is only assigned to you by your provider on a temporary basis (so-called "dynamic IP address"). Your provider can trace what IP address was assigned at what point in time to which of its customers. It is usually not possible for other persons, including ourselves, to assign a dynamic IP address to a specific person. The situation is different with a permanently assigned IP address (so-called "static IP address") that permits in principle a clear assignment of the user data via this characteristic. Apart from for the purpose of monitoring unauthorised access to our websites, we fundamentally do not use these data in personalised form but instead merely analyse on an anonymised basis which of our websites are preferred, how many page views there are per day, etc.

Plug-ins and statistics tools

We collect additional data for individual services from our company. In part, these are used for statistical purposes. It is determined, for instance, how often our pages are called up in order to create the bases for our media data. We would also like to gain an overview of which of our online services are particularly sought-after. On some of our websites, plug-ins (or also add-ons - the terms are used as synonyms) such as Facebook and Twitter are also integrated.

Analysis tools

We use numerous analysis tools. These have very different functions. For our work, it is e.g. important what coverage we generate with our website in order to obtain direct feedback for our work.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ( Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that facilitate an analysis of the usage of the website by you, such as so-called "cookies", text files that are saved on your computer. The information generated about your usage of this website will usually be transmitted to a server of Google in the US and saved there. Through the activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address is shortened before it is communicated within the Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be communicated to a server of Google in the US and shortened there. The anonymised IP address communicated within the framework of Google Analytics by your browser will not be merged with other data of Google.

You can prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:
Alternatively to the browser plug-in, you can click on this link to prevent the recording by Google Analytics on this website in future. In the process, an opt-out cookie is saved on your end device. If you delete your cookies, you have to click on the link again.

Use of social plug-ins from Facebook, Google+, Twitter

Social plug-ins ("plug-ins) of the social networks Facebook and Google+ and of the microblogging service Twitter are used on our website. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc., Google Inc. and Twitter Inc. ("providers").

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). An overview of the plug-ins of Facebook and their appearance can be found here:
Google+ is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). An overview of the plug-ins of Google and their appearance can be found here:
Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103. An overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance can be found here:

To increase the protection of your data when you visit our website, the plug-ins are integrated into the page by means of the so-called "2-click solution". This integration guarantees that when a page of our website is called up that contains such plug-ins, a connection with the servers of Facebook, Google and Twitter is not yet established. Only when you activate the plug-ins and thus give your consent to the communication of the data will your browser establish a direct connection to the servers of Google, Facebook or Twitter. The content of the respective plug-in will then be communicated directly by the respective provider to your browser and integrated into the page. Through the integration of the plug-ins, the providers obtain the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the corresponding provider or are not logged in at that particular time. This information (including your IP address) will be communicated by your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the US and saved there. When you interact with the plug-ins, for instance, click on the "Like" or "+1" or "Twitter" button, the corresponding information will also be sent directly to a server of the providers and saved there. The information is also published in the social network or on your Twitter account and displayed there to your contacts.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and usage of the data by the providers and your rights and setting possibilities in this regard to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information from the providers.
